About

Mike Heiler started with a woodworking lab course in high school. He fell in love with the work. Imagining a piece to build, made of real wood, something of quality. In his lab course, he made a coffee table out of scrap cherry wood. It received the top award in a show exhibiting projects the students had completed. Woodworking became the hook for his life passion.

After high school, Mike started working for a home remodeler. What he noticed was the remodeler would use catalog ordered cabinets for kitchen remodeling. Mike thought “I would think the customer would like something better that that. Customer’s idea.Something he is dreaming about. And of higher quality. Not something out of a catalog.”

Mike started experimenting building custom cabinets. He also had visions for entertainment centers and wine cellars with tasting bars. His work shop grew. It was time to go out on his own offering the uniqueness of making custom pieces for the client’s home remodel. Something that the client dreamed of. Something he wanted.

It worked.

Mike talks about remodeler’s hiring out work to sub-contractors for wiring, plumbing, and painting. He thought – “I could do that. It would shorten the time to complete the remodel. You don’t have to take into account the sub-contractors availability. Also you don’t have to keep checking the quality of their work.”

That’s what unique about Mike’s remodeling business. A remodel custom built to the customer’s desire. All the work done by Mike and his two person staff. A project to love completed in a shorter time.

Mike comments the finished remodel projects have a WOW effect on his customers. One customer’s comment – “My arriving guests stare in quiet astonishment for about 15 seconds before they say something about the work Mike had done.”
